Lot Essay

This toy is generally regarded as the most collectable of all Mickey Mouse tinplate toys. No more than ten examples of the rare five-fingered Mickey motor-cylist are believed to exist and none of these are thought to have the original box. This is thought to be the only known example with its original box.

This Mickey Mouse motorcycle was bought from a Woolworth's in Britain in June, 1930 as a ninth birthday present for the vendor's uncle.
