An Imperial ewer with everted short spout and slightly spreading foot, painted and gilt with a band of fan-shaped panels of flowers issuing from brushwood fences and pine amongst foaming waves, all on a ground of foliate roundels and within bands of stiff leaves, lappet panels, kiku heads and key-fret motifs, white metal foliate handle -- 9¾in. (24.7cm.) high, signed Satsuma, (restored.)
