A baluster vase with widely flaring neck and moulded dragon head handles, painted and gilt with birds perched on rockwork beside maple overlooking boats and retreats in a river landscape, the reverse with butterflies amongst dense flower sprays, the neck with mon and further butterflies on a ground of geometric motifs -- 9¾in. (24.7cm.) high, signed Satsuma Gyokusen.
