A shaped oval dish moulded with two cranes in flight with their wings outstretched, the centre with scholars and boys reading scrolls in an interior -- 8¾in. (22.2cm.) wide, incised Satsuma Seshima sei; and a flattened kettle with short spout and wicker handle, decorated with eating utencils and theatrical props -- 4in.
