An Imperial baluster vase
with pierced demi-kiku head handles and everted neck, painted and gilt with a band of quatrefoil panels containing peony flowers on a ground of demi florets and stylised flowers and leaves, the shoulder with stylised lotus -- 6in. (15cm.) high, signed Masanobu, (one handle broken off.)
