A large baluster vase painted and gilt with shaped panels depicting two ladies and a young girl on a river bank beside flowers and blossoming trees watching numerous ducks swimming amongst irises and reeds, a thatched cottage in the distance, the reverse with madarin ducks and further birds perched on the branches of a flowering wisteria tree and beside rockwork on the banks of a river, all on a dark blue ground reserved with butterflies in flight, fan-shaped panels, floral roundels and scattered flower heads, the neck with a band of stiff leaves -- 24½in. (62cm.) high, signed Kinkozan.
