Down & West 13a; 13b; 13c, p. 129. While Alfred Mynn (1807-61) and Fuller Pilch (1804-70) were the great champions of Kent, Henry Sampson (1813-85), short of height but broad of girth, was one of the first Yorkshire cricketers to achieve fame.
