Lot Essay

Bardsley's 164 and Kelleway's 102 in the Australian first innings led to their 10 wicket victory over South Africa in this match. The vignettes feature the three teams in the Triangular Tournament -- South Africa, England, and Australia; the captains, F. Mitchell, C. B. Fry, and S. E. Gregory; and six action photographs of the game itself. Laid down, cropped at margins, dampstained in places and with paper abrasions. Nevertheless, A RARE AND EVOCATIVE POSTER. Several letters to one caption have been erased but supplied in manuscript.
