Cooper, H. Scott (front row). Seventh series in which the number of matches was increased from one to three, England winnning 1, while there were 2 draws. Australia broke records in the third match at the Oval, with a first innings total of 551, Murdoch's 211 standing for 46 years as the highest score in England in matches between the two countries.
