An 18ct. gold medal by Harry Soane of London, awarded to Gentlemen's Singles Champion, the obverse with central motif in relief of two crossed lawn tennis rackets above a tudor rose with legend: "All England Club, Wimbledon," the reverse showing a laurel wreath in relief around the engraved inscription: "1936, F. J. Perry," with legend: "Lawn Tennis Champion," 38mm. (1½in.) diam.
