NEW terrestrial GLOBE by Nath. Hill. 1754
A 2¾-inch (7cm.) diameter terrestrial pocket globe, made up of twelve hand coloured engraved paper gores, the continents, countries and nation states outlined in red, green and yellow, the tracks of Admiral Anson's voyage of discovery delineated in red, the Australian continent only part shown and joined to New Guinea at the Gulf of Carpenteria, New Zealand only shown in part, the Southern Atlantic adjacent to the West African Coast labelled ETHEOPIAN SEA, (old surface abrasions, some discolouration) in fishskin-covered case, the interior with printed and coloured celestial chart, one hemisphere with slight ink stain, with two brass hooks and eyes
