A pair of table globes, 8-inches (20cm.) diameter, each made up of two pairs of twelve engraved gores, hand coloured in outline, the terrestrial showing the Pacific voyages of Cook and Anson, monsoon and trade winds, the celestial with decorative constellation figures coloured in red and green, later French (ca 1880) printed labels pasted along the celestial equator (some discolouration to varnish, particularly the celestial), metal axis, brass meridian circles and hour pointers, celestial with moveable brass quadrant of altitude pointer, graduated on one face, papered horizon circles, the globes mounted on table stands, the four baluster-turned legs united by stretchers supporting the centrepost (the stand on the celestial possibly later) -- 13ins. (33cm.) high
