with iron meridian circle (internal dia. 26in. (66cm.)), the horizon ring supported on four turned legs uniting the shaped base, with baluster-turned central support (the horizon ring with major paper loss), all surfaces with deep green, pale yellow and brown paint, possibly remains of some gilding, overall height -- 39in. (99cm.)
