A Louis XVI Revival kingwood cylinder bureau, 19th century
Applied with brass mounts, the three-quarter pierced gallery above a rouge marble top with four drawers fitted below, the cylinder fall centred with a floral marquetry medallion, within a ribbon-tied mount, opening to reveal four drawers and a leather-lined sliding writing surface, with five drawers above an arched kneehole, on collared square tapering legs terminating in foliate caps

Provenance
This lot is accompanied by a letter from the present owner, stating that the bureau was bought by his grandfather from the Paris Exhibition in 1867
