Provenance:
By repute; this missionary figure formerly stood outside the premises of a Mr Jack Valantine, at 14 The High Street, Poole in Dorset. Mr Valentine traded maritime antiques and his shop was located just a few doors away from the noted firm of chandler's J. Columbus.
