of typical form, the centre with a domed boss, the ear pierced with C scrolls and a lozenge to the tip, enclosing an oval with the owner's initials T.R. within sheild devices, the underside with the maker's touch with an indistinct date and the initials R.G., and applied to the underside of the ear with a printed paper lable inscribed THE GENUINENESS OF THIS PIECE GUARANTEED BY MR HOWARD H. COTTERELL, and numbered in ink 1345 -- 5 3/8in. (13.7cm) diam, length overall -- 7¾in. (19.7cm)
