The anglaise case decorated with bands of polychrome enamel, conforming decoration to the top and handle, the side panels mounted behind the glass with incised openwork relief panels depicting herons with fish in their beaks, with similar panel of exotic birds to the rear door, the silvered mask with openwork mount depicting an eagle swooping on a fish and with leafy designs above, silvered Roman dial with foliate engraved centre, blued spade hands, silvered lever platform to the bimetallic balance, strike/repeat on two gongs to the backplate stamped for Richard & Co
