The anglaise case with blue silk-backed panels to the sides overlaid with openwork gilt-brass mounts cast with a design of birds amidst scrolls, with conforming mask to the silvered Roman dial, with retailer's signature on the raised centre EARDLEY B. NORTON PARIS AND MANCHESTER, blued hands, replaced platform lever escapement, three-position sonnerie adjustment lever to underside, strike/repeat on two gongs to the backplate stamped GL and numbered 1264
