The oval variant case with spiral-twist Corinthian columns and ripple cornices, glazed D-end side panels, with plain silvered mask to the white enamel Roman dial with retailer's signature HOWELL & HARRIS OXFORD, blued moon hands, with presentation inscription dated JUNE 1887 to the top, silvered lever platform to the bimetallic balance, strike/repeat on gong to the backplate numbered 52
