The foliate engraved gorge case mounted with royal blue porcelain panels to the sides, depicting period domestic scenes within gilt borders, the Roman dial painted with a barnyard scene and with alarm ring below, blued spade hands, silvered lever platform to the cut bimetallic balance, three-position sonnerie adjustment lever to the underside, strike/repeat/alarm on two gongs to the backplate stamped for Drocourt and numbered 16842; resting on a stand with conforming decoration and dolphin-tailed caryatid scroll feet to the angles
