The foliate engraved corniche case mounted with Sèvres style crimson porcelain panels to the sides, depicting courting lovers in gardens, each within jewelled and gilt-heightened borders (crack to one side), the dial with individual Roman chapters and conforming ornament, depicting cherub's to the centre with retailer's signature A.H. RODANET & CIE 38 RUE VIVIENNE PARIS, painted with flowers above and a swain playing a guitar to his lover below, gilt spade hands, silvered lever platform to the bimetallic balance, strike/repeat on gong to the backplate stamped B (possibly for Brunelot) and 2393
