The case elaborately mounted with flowers and surmounted by a group of lovers engaged in a picnic in 18th century costume, on plinth modelled with rocaille and further flowers, the French white enamel dial with Roman chapter ring and recessed centre with visible Brocot escapement, steel moon hands, the twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell, stamped on the backplate for Marti et Cie; and the pair of four light candelabra en suite, modelled with ladies seated on tree stumps below branches with trailing flowerheads; some losses to porcelain
The clock -- 27in. (69cm.) high
The candelabra -- 19½in. (49.5cm.) high
