The case with flat-top hood with fret-carved frieze and spiral-twist pilasters to the angles, the square-top trunk door with concave mouldings and lenticle glass, inlaid with marquetry, with conforming decoration to the block plinth, on bun feet, the 10in. (25.5cm.) square brass dial with winged cherub mask spandrels signed Daniel Le Count Londini below the silvered chapter ring, the matted centre with subsidiary silvered seconds ring and date aperture, the five ringed pillar movement with anchor escapement and countwheel strike; the case with alterations and reveneered
