The Head Of A Persian Saddle-Axe (Tabarzin)
Circa 1735, probably by Lotf'ali
Entirely of iron, with square peen and crescentic cutting edge, cut in low relief with flower-heads, and on each side of the blade with a scene of the chase involving a mounted sportsman aiming his bow (the surface patinated and with faint traces of gilding)
