A German Two-Handed Processional Sword
17th Century
With blade of flattened hexagonal section with long leather-covered ricasso incorporating pointed side-lugs, iron hilt with long flat quillons terminating in fleur-de-lys, large, broad ring-guard on each side grooved plummet-shaped pommel, engraved throughout with a trellis pattern, and original leather-covered grip (leather damaged) with remains of tassels at top and bottom
