A Pair Of North African Stirrups, And A Swiss Dagger
The First Probably 18th Century, The Second 15th/16th Century
The first of iron with large rectangular foot-plates pierced with a circle of keyhole-shaped holes, and triangular sides inlaid in silver with scrollwork framing multi-petalled flowers; the second in excavated condition, with triangular single-edged blade, narrow flat iron guard curved towards the hand, and small oval mushroom-shaped pommel (grip missing)
