A Persian Chiselled And Damascened Kulah Khud

The skull finely chiselled all over in bas relief with foliage framing shaped cartouches outlined in gold damascening and themselves chiselled with flowers, the border inscribed in gold damascening with a Persian poem eulogising the helmet, in panels set alternately with cartouches containing chiselled birds and animals, fitted with two plume-holders, central spike and nasal decorated en suite, and with an aventail of small butted iron and brass rings
