A 20-Bore Turkish Miquelet-Lock Carbine
Late 17th Century
With heavily swamped twist octagonal barrel cut with eight grooves and with brass-inlaid slotted standing back-sight, lock of early form with inlaid and applied brass decoration, figured full stock (fore-end replaced) inlaid with brass pellets and roundels (some missing) of geometric design inlaid with black horn, swelling faceted butt inlaid with white horn bands (some replaced in wood) and with butt-trap on the underside (cover replaced), iron button trigger, and three plain brass barrel bands (ramrod missing, some wear throughout)
