An Imari reactangular tokuri
painted and gilt with panels of pine issuing from rockwork, birds and butterflies among chrysanthemum sprays, blossoming prunus and bamboo and gamboling Buddhistic lions before a waterfall and foaming waves, the top with a further karashishi on a ground of peony petals -- 7½in. (19cms) high, 18th century, (small hairline crack to foot).
