'Flump' is the result of a competition held by CIC, the video distributers, as a promotion to launch the video release of The Land Before Time IV. Competitors were asked to draw a dino friend for Littlefoot, one of the characters in the film. The winning design was made into a 12 foot soft toy to be sold at auction to raise funds for Great Ormond Street.
