Details
A George III part canteen of Old English pattern flatware comprising:-
twenty-two table forks *, eleven tablespoons,
nine dessert forks *, eight dessert spoons (1 A/F),
two basting spoons, all by Walter Tweedie 1776,
together with a sauce ladle (maker's mark four times only),
a George III soup ladle, by W Eley & W Fearn, 1803,
three George III teaspoons and seven modern teaspoons, 105oz.
See illustration of two forks
* The forks are hallmarked on the top sides of the stems; an explanation for this may be that the forks have been "reversed" by curving the tines and stems the opposite way perhaps for the sake of fashion. (62)
