of oval form, the base engine-turned with scrollwork, the sides painted with oval floral cartouches on a white ground supported by green foliage, four appllied pillars "supporting" the cover, the cover with with an oval enamelled cherub study, probably French or Swiss, circa 1830 - 1.9cms
