the rectangular leather-lined top with an inbowed centre and dentil-carved edge, the frieze with three stop-fluted drawers and a central ribbon and bellflower carved tablet, with two further drawers to each side of the kneehole flanked by bellflower carved panels and with panelled square tapering legs and foliate-carved feet, bearing a label Fornier Freres, Paris, minor damage to one leg -- 52in.
