The case with campana urn finials to the balustraded gallery, Corinthian columns to the front angles and on ringed toupie feet, the painted porcelain dial decorated in the japonaiserie manner with a hummingbird, butterfly and gilt branches, with coloured reserves against a cream ground (restored crack to corner), individual Roman chapters and recessed centre with visible Brocot escapement, the twin barrel movement with strike on gong, stamped on the backplate for J. Marti -- 15¾in. 940cm.) high
