The case with three enamel domes to the top and baluster finials modelled as an Eastern temple, the columnar supports cast with lattice work and flowerhead ornament, on shaped base with royal blue enamel panels to front and rear with gilt and jewelled decoration, on stylised feet, the Roman dial with enamel chapters and centre, steel spade hands and rubbed retailer's signature ...LONDON PARIS, the twin barrel movement with strike on bell (lacking), stamped on the backplate for JAPY FRÈRES and retailer HOWELL & JAMES -- 20½in.
