A French gilt-bronze and porcelain striking mantel clock, circa 1880
The case with acorn finial and flanked by scroll mounts with budding finials, hung with floral swags and inset with porcelain panels painted on gilt reserves against sky blue grounds with flowers and a maiden snatching Cupid's bow, on toupie feet, the conforming porcelain dial with individual Roman chapters and gilt spade hands, the twin going barrel movement with strike on bell -- 11¾in. (30cm.) high
