The drum-shaped case with foliate cast budding finial, flanked by projecting cubes with flowerhead mounts and waisted terminals, on support with inset porcelain panels, with flowers painted on white reserves against pink and gilt borders, the arched base with conforming panel to the front, on toupie feet, similar dial (cracked) with individual Roman chapters and steel quatrefoil hands, the twin barrel movement with strike on bell, stamped on the backplate C.V.1533 -- 12in, (31cm.) high; on giltwood plinth and further ebonised base, under glass dome
