A George III ebonised and gilt-bronze mounted striking bracket clock, circa 1770
The case with brass handle to the bell top and pineapple finials, female bust mounts trailing flowers to the chamfered front angles, arched fishscale sound frets to the sides and conforming quarter frets to the front door, on brass bracket feet, silvered dial with engraved swag spandrels and chapter ring, signed in the centre Thomas Hunter LONDON, strike/silent ring in the arch, the twin chain fusee movement with later anchor escapement, pendulum holdfast to the engraved backplate -- 18¼in. (46.5cm.) high
