A large Chinese red, green and black lacquered wood flattened circular box and cover
of multi-lobed form, carved to the top with a coiled full-faced dragon surrounded by four further dragons among clouds and characters, above two bands depicting numerous further dragons above rockwork and breaking waves, all within borders of key-frets, the interior decorated with scattered flowersprays, traces of gilding -- 22.in (55.9cm) wide, 18th/19th Century, (chips and old damage).
