The rectangular top inlaid with a central octagonal panel within radiating bands intersected by ovals and lozenges within spandrels and an outer border of strapwork ornament, supported on a stiff-leaf and foliate cast entablature applied with relief panels of cavorting cherubs and dolphins within aprons of flowering and fruiting foliate scrolls, supported by figures of reclining amorini surmounting the scroll legs and conforming X frame strechers centred by a plateau surmounted by the figure of a seated bacchanalian youth holding aloft a beaker
