A William Morris & Co. three-fold screen with three embroidered panels within a glazed mahogany frame with inlaid chevron banding, embroidered in coloured silks in stem and satin stitches, the two outer panels worked with scrolling acanthus leaves, the centre with stylised tulips and roses, with a small fold-away shelf below--the two outer panels 20¼ x 69½in. (50 x 173cm.), the central panel 23 x 69½in. (58 x 173cm.), stamped "Morris & Co., 449 Oxford St." twice on the top of the frame with the number "1586", late 19th/early 20th century
