A needlework casket depicting amorous scenes including the top with a person swimming in a lake with a whale, the side with a woman washed up on the shore beside a tower, with a hunting scene on the back, worked in coloured silks, chenille and metal purl on an ivory satin ground, the interior fitted with four drawers and various compartments, lined in salmon pink silk and plush, with marbled paper, bound with silver metal braid (restored), with key--9½ x 12 x 7½in.
