A dress of wool, the dark brown ground printed with tiny ivory ovals with scattered diamonds enclosing naturalistic flower sprigs and interlocking diamonds in red, green and yellow, with apron front and "Imbecile" sleeves, the skirt lined with printed cotton, the bodice pleated and inscribed "M Gooby" in ink, circa 1835-7
