A Japanese six-fold table screen
painted in sumi, colours and gofun on a gold sprinked paper ground with a continuous scene depicting a lady seated before a screen on a terrace, flanked by numerous attendants bearing fans and carrying trays of fruit and drink, further attendants and children overlooking a stream from a balcony, with blossoming branches issuing from rockwork from the other side -- each leaf 18in. (45.7cm.) x 7½in. (19cm.), (minor scratches, some areas of repaining, old wear), mounted open.
