Born in Tula. In 1937 he graduated from the Gorky Art school. He was imprisoned during Stalins rule and was sent to Magadan Labour Camp. His pictures are exhibited in the national galleries of Vladimir, Suzdal, Kovrovo abd Alexandrov. Many of his pictures are in private collections and museums in Spain, Holland and Belgium.
