A Khorassan bronze model of a bird
of stylised form, with tapering body and solid wings covering the back terminating in a stylised tail formed of a faceted lozenge shape with floral terminal, the elongated head with raised eyes and downturned beak -- 5¾.in (14.5cm) high, 10th/11th Century, metal stand.
