Persian manuscript on paper, 17ll. of black nast'liq in two columns, red ruled margins, headings in red, marginal notes, paper covered boards, probably India, 18th century - 29.5 x 16.5cm.; Epic poetry, Persian manuscript on paper, 25ll. of small black nast'liq in four columns, gold divisions and margins with red and blue outer rules, headings in red, illuminated opening bifolio, illuminated headings at the start of each section, unbound, Timurid Persia, 15th century - 21.6 x 13.8cm.; another, 20ll. of brown maghribi, headings in red, red morocco binding, North Africa, circa 18th century - 19.4 x 14.5cm.; and another, comprising lines in various hands, inscribed on the opening flyleaf 'taken from the camp of Firdar(?) Aqaah Khan after the battle of Kchudahar Liptuchar(?) 1880, H.A.Buchanan', black morocco binding - 16.5 x 10cm.
