manuscript on paper, including: an exercise of overlapping black nasta'liq, within gold clouds and foliate motifs, red and gold margins between black and coloured rules, mounted on card - 17.3 x 15.3cm.; another similar - 15.2 x 10.2cm.; nine pieces of naskh some in gold clouds, one on marbled paper, one with Persian interlinear translation, one with attribution by Muhammad Sadiq al-Husaini al-Baradi - largest 20.4 x 14cm.; three pieces of nasta'liq, two matching on gold-sprinkled paper, the other in gold clouds - largest 16 x 9.5cm.; three pieces of shikasteh, two in gold clouds, the third on cloth - largest 19.8 x 13.4cm.; an inscription cartouche on decorated gold ground - 16.5 x 10.1cm.; illuminated folio two lines of large white naskh on illuminated ground divided by lines of small black naskh, dated Safar AH 1314/1896-7 AD - 12.8 x 17.8cm., all mounted on card with coloured margins, mostly Persia, 18th century and later; and Mathnawi, Persian manuscript on paper, 17ll. black nasta'liq, Qajar Persia, dated AH 1288/1871-2 AD, black morocco binding - 17.9 x 10.6cm.
