A Kashan conical bowl
with widely flaring sides and short foot, decorated to the interior in blue, turquoise, black and cream with tear drop panels alternating with stylised foliage around a central flowerhead motif, the exterior with radiating lines -- 7¾ib. (19.5cm.) diam, 13th/14th Century, (some restoration and old wear.)
