Lot Essay

Gozzoli executed a series of frescoes in the Camposanto, Pisa, between 1467-84 depicting the 'Annunciation', the 'Adoration of the Magi', nine kneeling saints and twenty three scenes from the Old Testament. They were largely destroyed in 1944.
